So much for a blog, huh?
I am now a proud mama of a 17-month-old with a strange desire to write. I used to be told I was good, entertaining, funny and all that jazz. Lately, I have found my writing dwindling down to a short paragraph on Yelp.com about a random meal I had or a park I went to.
Forget the weight loss blog (yes, I did it, by the way), I would like to make this space a place I can bitch and moan, celebrate and laugh. I am an avid Facebook user but sometimes I want to write for the sake of writing without worrying about offending some random ass person who is my FB friend. I'll clean up my friend list eventually.
Generally, I consider myself a pretty happy-go-lucky person but lately lots and lots of people have been getting on my nerves. I often keep a mental list of qualities that drive me bazookas. Well, I guess I don't have to keep it in my head anymore. Hello, blogging.
For the love of God, RSVP!!!!!
What is with people not RSVPing? I don't care if it's a girls night out or a wedding, it's COMMON courtesy. Take your little mouse and click on no if you can't make it, but don't ignore an invite. That being said my invite lists have been getting smaller. You don't RSVP a few times, you are a gonner. I am working on getting stricter.
Be on time and expect others to do the same!
I am always there when I am told to be. Lately, I have found that I go crazy getting ready just to show up and find out that the actual time of the event is not for another 10, 15, 30 (!!!) minutes. The invite just said the original time to make sure the latecomers are there when it starts. How about those of us who are actually responsible?
Well, this is a good start. Since I don't plan on advertising this no one will ever read it. But at least I wrote it.
